When it comes to getting married, one of the biggest concerns is life-long trust. Everyone seems to talk about believing wholeheartedly in trust, but it only takes a glance at the tabloids in the supermarket checkout to see many more cases of trust being bitterly abused and the repercussions left to deal with. When I decided it was time to propose marriage to my girlfriend of three years, I first wanted some guarantee that I was not misplacing my trust. People do a number of things to protect themselves from future harm. This was my way. I had already sought an attorney for drawing up a prenuptial agreement. This legality, though, only offered me protection from financial ruin. Going over the reasons why this particular agreement was important made me ponder other potential issues, as well. I realized, in that moment, that while I wanted to trust this potential mate, deep down I could not say with total certainty that I did. I have heard enough stories and lived a long enough life to know that sometimes friends are not just friends. The social circle in which my girlfriend involved herself was of particular interest to me. It is easy to appear to be just good friends, but conversations between two people tell all. Finding a way to, essentially, spy on the exchange of words between my girlfriend and these acquaintances opened a door to the everyday conversations taking place between them. It allowed me to compare what was truly being said to what I was told was said. I breathed easy to find there were no illicit texts being sent by either party, and that the conversations taking place on her phone were legitimate and platonic. This was a huge conviction of solidifying trust between us.

The other opportunity afforded me by the program I used was my capability of tracking her whereabouts via GPS technology. It becomes natural, when trust is not completely instilled, to wonder if a sudden trip to the store is truly just that. The phone calls saying that work was holding her up were a frequent occurrence that, I admit, made me second guess her actual whereabouts and purpose. Being able to track this proved to be easy and informational. I was able to verify her extra time commitment at work, her sometimes sudden escapes from the home, and her nights out with the girls.
